The U.C. Davis MIND Institute is an interdisciplinary, collaborative research, clinical, and educational center committed to deepening the scientific understanding of the challenges associated with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Hallmark managed this program from concept through construction. The program is unique in that it precipitated state legislation documenting the need for California to become a leader in developing treatments and cures for neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism.
Results: Hallmark completed the project, inclusive of obtaining legislation, financing, and construction, in three years—substantially less time than is required by comparable programs. The facility construction, of which Hallmark managed, is a 110,000-square-foot, internationally recognized, award-winning research institute, which includes wet lab facilities, outpatient clinics, faculty office suites, and a resource center for parents and healthcare professionals. Today the U.C. Davis Mind Institute is recognized as the world’s leader in autism research.
